Well ABC News is at it again. This time it’s a lengthy news story and news segment looking at the UFO/alien abduction phenomenon.

Most of us UFOlogists hold ABC with not a grain of salt but with blatant disdain because of their sloppy reporting regarding UFOs. I’ll be the first one to say that the UFO phenomenon needs to be examined by professionals of all fields and that raw data processed and presented. That would be the ideal scene but rarely executed. I’ll say honestly that yes, the UFO phenomenon is rife with fraud, shenanigans, spite, backstabbing, and the whole gambit of human foibles, but in all fairness the UFO phenomenon is also full of incredibly reliable, honest, intelligent, credible witnesses, experts, and data that is so overwhelming in it’s breath and scope it boggles the mind.

In the mainstream news’ case, the issue hasn’t been covered in ratio to the interest by the public. There are mountains of official government documents and living witnesses of high rank who are available for examination and questioning but the news media somehow slides by them to find persons who contribute in no way to the further investigation of this issue with the sincerity and clarity that is long overdue.

After reading this latest article it does well. It makes no evaluations of the participants and is edited well. You get to read from the people themselves what they believe to be true. All that’s well and good but too good to be true as the article typically degrades at the end with those pesky evaluations from the headshrinkers that encompass all UFO abductions being explained away as “sleep paralysis”. For some reason this Harvard trained psychologist Dr. Susan Clancy is bent on putting “sleep paralysis” as the explanation to every alien abduction story. What she doesn’t do, which any professional should do, is look at the alien abduction incidents THAT OCCURRED WHILST THE PERSONS WERE WIDE AWAKE. Not only were these abductees wide awake, in full recall of what occured but in many instances there were multiple people abducted and sometimes in broad daylight. These accounts are available from the research presented by experts going on for decades.

Pop culture would have you believe all abductees are rural types when in fact they span the entire spectrum of race, religion, culture, and occupations. As for the stellar lineup of whistleblowers we’ve got heads of state, generals, colonels, ministers, scientists, astronauts and cosmonauts, and more.

For some reason these incidents where the persons/victims/abductees were wide awake and multiple abductees at that, escaped the good doctor. One would think that gathering scientific data would encompass something important like RESEARCHING THE EVIDENCE but I guess Harvard doesn’t have to do that. They make so much money from the big drug pharmaceutical companies they don’t have to have real science done, they along with the rest of the psychiatric industry just make up new disorders, classify them as real and then get the pharmaceutical companies to dish out deadly mind altering drugs to ‘cure’ the disorder that isn’t real in the first place.

Methinks one day soon they’ll come up with a drug for the “alien abduction syndrome” and have abductees forced on these drugs.

What’s really tragic is that ABC News is giving Dr. Clancy a soapbox but doesn’t mention the most famous Harvard alum, the Pulitzer Prize Winning author and former head of Harvard’s Psychiatric Division, the late Dr. John E. Mack. Dr. Mack delved into the UFO alien abduction issue almost 20 years ago to prove it was the product of some form of psychological disorder or two. When he did the real, down to earth scientific investigation he ended up bucking the system by presenting his findings that the phenom was indeed real and required more research and especially in the way we evaluate reality. That got Dr. Mack in a mess of trouble with Harvard and for the first time in it’s history, Harvard tried to get rid of Dr. Mack, a tenured professor! We all poured in our support for Dr. Mack and Harvard was defeated and re-instated the good doctor. Ironic for me that in all his studies and travels Dr. Mack ended up moving into my neighborhood to further his studies in the Hudson Valley of New York, Dutchess County at that. I had the luck to briefly interview Dr. Mack at the 50th Anniversary of the Roswell Incident. Go figure.

I’m going to watch the broadcast as well to see if ABC, Ju Ju Chang the correspondent, and Dr. Clancy are going to present the solid evidence that is available especially the government released documents from the U.S., it’s allies, and enemies.

Seems like every country and their brother is forking over formerly classified UFO documents nowadays.

I wonder why?
