More ABC News Reporting On UFO Over China.

Well this is an additional surprise. ABC News who got lambasted a few years ago by the public and especially UFOlogists for a sloppy report about UFOs has followed up on the latest sighting in China where a UFO was seen and well photographed it appears. This story focuses on China’s official government’s announcement that they will be investigating the situation to see if it’s a real UFO sighting or an elaborate hoax. No Virginia, There Are No Extraterrestrials Visiting Earth

I know that I will piss off lots of people but this is a prelude to a longer essay pointing out that of this date not one shred of proof has yet come to the table that extraterrestrials are visiting Earth, have visited Earth, or are on their way.

Sure there’s lots of “evidence” but without solid physical proof it’s still just ONE theory as to the origin of SOME UFOs.

What that means is that there are many theories as to the origins of some UFO reports. Theories like this include top secret government craft that we know has been the case several times. That some UFOs have been and are advanced private air and spacecraft that are unregistered. That some UFOs may be life forms we’ve yet to classify.

There are many theories and the most exciting being that some UFOs are of extraterrestrial origin. That theory alone has spawned more theories and speculation to the point of overwhelm. There are societies, religions, groups that claim to have the inside knowledge and far too many times has led to disaster and fraud. You’ve got to be on your toes for this.

I know there are some who’ll point to the Billy Meier case. A Swiss farmer who years ago presented several startling films, pictures, and books regarding his experiences. Sure it’s all entertaining and amazing but where is the physical proof? If these aliens meant so well it’s certain they’re aware that no one in government and science believes them, so why the stonewalling? It’s simple, they’re either incredibly stupid or they don’t exist. It doesn’t get any more complicated than that.

Oh, the Betty and Barney Hill case? One of the classics of this phenomenon. A couple from America claimed to have been observant of and abducted by extraterrestrials. An exciting case no doubt, but where is the physical proof?

Roswell. The mother of all UFO incidents. Lots of documents, speculation, books, tv, movies, but where is the physical proof?

Not one government, friend nor foe has come forward with any physical proof whatsoever in over 60 years of this phenomenon.

Why? Ask yourself “Why?”.

Now, does this mean that extraterrestrials and/or their mechanisms hasn’t or aren’t visiting Earth? No. What it means is that there is no physical proof to support it as conclusive.

There’s much more and even the trace cases, samples of flora, fauna, soil of areas where a UFO report has occurred are nothing more than evidence that something occurred or affected said at the location of a UFO report.

Let’s get oriented here as we may be missing out on a more prosaic but unsettling theory with far more physical evidence but shunned by even the most fervent UFO fan. That theory I’ll deal with in a longer essay as it would be so disturbing, if true, than any visit by extraterrestrials.

So again, at present, not one iota of proof has emerged to conclude that ETs are in any way, shape, or form a part of our development on Earth. That could change tomorrow or a year from now or a century from now, but as of right now there just isn’t anything. Sorry to hurt the feelings of those awaiting a spectacular landing and the emergence of the “Space Brothers” who’ll bring in a new age of benevolence but that’s so far from the farm there’s no way you can milk the cows.

So stand by for a further dissertation.

In the meantime, when someone says “extraterrestrials did this or that”, ask them to show you the PROOF or keep it in the realm of the anecdotal for now.

Update on the UFO situation

Well, lots has been going on in the UFO field. Mostly more reports and surprisingly large amounts of sightings from the British Commonwealth nations. Great Britain, New Zealand, Australia have reports pouring in on a daily basis. Considering the British Ministry of Defense has stated that UFOs are no threat, mirroring what the United States has said for decades, it’s a bother that people have no where to turn officially to voice their concerns about UFOs.

The other day NASA had a press conference regarding their plans for searching for extraterrestrial life. They’ve not updated their website as of this posting regarding the conference so tabloid papers like The Sun from the UK posted articles claiming that the U.S. has found evidence of life on Mars. That story states life in microbial form is evident but no official announcement from NASA has been issued. I doubt very highly, almost certainly that the U.S. will never admit to extraterrestrial life in any form any time soon nor will it’s allies nor enemies.

I’ve mentioned this anomaly before. Legend has it that the U.S. is behind a global conspiracy to conceal the existence of extraterrestrials on Earth but that doesn’t excuse why our enemies wouldn’t make the declaration that they do exist. We know for a fact that the issue of UFOs has and still is of super top secret concern for the U.S. and our so called enemy states like Iran, China, Venezuela which all have daily UFO reports coming in have yet to post any disclosures. That’s curious in that they know it would upset the apple cart of U.S. policy and force the U.S. government’s hand in addressing the issue.

Curiouser and curiouser.

So at present the private sector and independent news services have to take the bulk of public concerns and collect UFO reports and data. This helps in that significant reports end up in that realm and not hidden behind government screens. That’s the wild card right there. At any given moment a new and astounding report can come through and go viral on the web and gum up the works.

As attractive as these accounts may be we still need to do the science, the raw investigation and not fall prey to sensationalism. My first rule of UFO investigation is “Never get excited about a UFO report.”. That keeps one’s analysis on an even keel and not subject to foolhardy steps.

So at best, keep an eye out for news reports and participate with the investigators.

There is one danger, a growing danger, the privatization of UFOlogy wherein the best reports get bought up and sequestered thus depriving the public of valuable data.

In these times of global upheaval we need all the data we can get.

This is an interesting story that shows how a UFO incident is born, investigated, and then put on the shelf.

According to the story from the CBC, residents of the rural community there observed several objects emitting exhaust trails. The objects reportedly made no noise but were clearly visible and one or more alert citizens took photographs of said objects.

When they reported the incident to the RCMP ( Royal Canadian Mounted Police ), the matter went up the chain to the Ministry of Defence who stated that they knew what the objects were but declined to disclose that information to the public.

See, that’s the stages of the ‘unidentified’ part of the designation ‘unidentified flying object’. One sees something flying and cannot identify it and inquires to the authorities and press to see if someone can. In this case, only one step of this process, the military states they can identify the flying object but refuses to provide data to validate their claim.
Thus for all intents and purposes it remains as unidentified.

According to this story, NASA and other space officials are bewildered regarding an object that will speed past Earth on Wednesday January 13, 2010.

The object won’t hit Earth but it’s presence confounds the experts.

This has the ingredients of a panic attack story as it is on the 13th of a month and it is a mysterious object in outer space.

Just keep your shirts on and don’t fall for any doomsday shenanigans folks.

I’ve been fortunate to chat with Coast To Coast AM’s Science Advisor, Richard C. Hoagland. Mr. Hoagland is renowned for his analysis of science issues in the news and has been a lecturer, former NASA advisor and advisor to CBS News to name a few of his accolades. He owns and operates the popular website ENTERPRISE MISSION.

He sent me a link to his latest research regarding his analysis of the recent aerial phenomenon over Norway in which a huge spiral accompanied by a big blue beam had made headlines all over the world.

No sensationalism here, just a nuts and bolts look at what he feels is the true source of the phenom.

Likewise in Russia, there have been several strange aerial phenomena over the past year including a huge ring of light in the clouds, strange shapes such as swords, pyramids etc. startling and amazing folks all over the world. We’re lucky to have folks like Mr. Hoagland around to give us an insight into how science investigates these phenomena.

The video isn’t crystal clear but it has garnered quite the amount of international interest.
