A startling video has appeared on YouTube reportedly of a classic flying saucer type UFO that allegedly almost collides with a small plane piloted by two doctors who were checking out the famous Nazca lines in Peru.

The video shows the pilot flying over the massive ground formations of lines and pictographs that have puzzled scientists for decades regarding their purpose as they can only be comprehended via observation from the air.

As the pilots fly into an extremely rare rain cloud formation, it rarely if ever rains in this territory it’s reported, the UFO then appears from a hole in the clouds for a brief 2 or 3 seconds. The video then shows the object at slower speeds and magnification.

It will be interesting to see what the experts have to say about the video and it’s authenticity so we’ll have to wait for the final video analysis to determine if indeed it is authentic. You can see the video of the UFO flying saucer below.

  1. Why after filming Nasca lines do they opt to film their flight through clouds. Interesting video, was the camera hand held or mounted in the plane.

  2. thats nothing, did you not see the opening in the cloud at 3:12 into the video !!!!?????

  3. That is nothing but a hole in the clouds. You people are so caught up in this UFO thing that you “see” what your mind wants you to see. Believe me I know an alien spacecraft when I see one. Yes, I have seen MANY and this definaitely is not one. Sorry try again.

  5. I don’t know what it was. Could have been the top of a hill. Picture not very clear. Oh well.

  6. This is a fake … the last part of the footage is nowhere near Nasca ….

  7. Those that have commented here and purported to be UFO ‘experts’ only prove what I have always said; ‘no wonder space aliens HOVER and do NOT land on this planet – no intelligent life on this rock’. Evidently we mock what we do not or cannot understand.

  8. I’m not one to debunk UFOs, yet, I’d have to question this video. The camera appears to change to a much lower pixel resolution as the plane enters into the dense cloud. There the video’s pixels suddenly become very large and blocky. Perhaps, the person doing the filming changed the camera’s settings or focus, yet, the plane’s window frame doesn’t show these same blocky pixels. I would think that it should.

  9. At first I thought it was just break in the clouds which provide a dark background of the mountain far below and in the distance. However, the shape is too distinctive to be just a pocket in the clouds.
If UFOs are real, then this would likely be a probe sent to instantly analyze the plane and report.
Those pictographs on the ground look like they were designed to be seen from a high altitude so it’s possible that this is UFO territory. I never believed in UFOS until a few years ago when my wife and I, along with several people spotted a cylinder-like object moving southwest in Utah. After that we became believers. It’s hard to deny something once you’ve seen it yourself plus all the people that pulled over just to see what that object was so I think it’s possible that these UFOs are everywhere now. Man-made or alien, they’re out there.

  10. Hi folks, I’m Greg the publisher of this site.

I’ve said it a dozen times over that when it comes to UFO stories the first thing to do is NOT get too excited about them. Reason being is that any UFO story, picture, claim, video should be examined first by professionals before a final conclusion is issued.

Not to say your opinions aren’t important but that’s just the way science is and UFOlogy needs LOTS of science. Problem is mainstream science is far too often guided by opinionated people who cater to financial gain and social acceptance. Since UFOs involve things they can’t immediately understand or may upset the people and institutions that fund them, far too many scientists overlook the issue and incidents like these that can be easily solved with today’s imaging technology, go without attention.

This case of this UFO video in Peru just needs an expert or two to look at the video and say what the dilly is. I’ve asked a few and hopefully they’ll post their comments on their sites.

Personally, the video takes too long and the moment of truth is too short. I hate posting videos of UFOs that aren’t clear, however, this video caught my eye. We’ll see what happens next.

  13. Best ufo evidence ever? This is a lame film that proves nothing. There are much, much better films out there…..

    Comment by Rick — February 12, 2011 #

  14. Yes it appears to be weak, however, that’s why we wait for the professional analysis to prove what it is. There may not be much but it will be easy with today’s technologies to figure out what it is and how it was done so we’ll know how to examine future videos.

  16. I’d say this is a good example of a plasmoid, which occur can occur where there are electrical instabilities in the atmosphere. The fact that there were some rare clouds boosts my view, as some years ago, about 50 miles out of Johannesburg in South Africa, I saw a small, dark gray torus shaped cloud, alone in a clear blue sky, pour out huge amounts of rain and lightning, that went on for 15 minutes or so, and then just faded away. Strange. Also these plasmoids give a solid radar contact, and are responsible for many sightings according to a declassified British M.O.D. report.

  17. Wow- very weak. Super let down by this… no evidence.. thanks for the waste of time, now, can I have my 5 minutes back please?

  18. Watched this several times and could distinguish no other craft, no near miss, this is just a pathetic waste of time IMHO !

  19. I have an Msc in space physics …. this is most likely FAKED.

    Comment by Mikey — February 12, 2011 #

  20. This is absolutely, definitely an alien spacecraft. Of that there is surely no doubt. Really the question we should be asking is how many aliens are on board.

    Comment by Mikey — February 12, 2011 #

  21. I do not know what everyone else is looking at, but when I watched this video a couple of times in large screen high definition, I could clearly see a solid object exiting and re-entering into the clouds. The way the cloud dispersed away from the object and then engulfed the object during re entry is 3 dimensional. Also real time movement with a moving object like a plane would make this extremely hard to accomplish with CGI. I think too many people on this thread are glancing at the video and not looking closely enough to see what is obviously there.

    Comment by raszwell — February 12, 2011 #

  22. I am not interpreting this anomaly as a bell shaped craft but as a 3D ripple in space-time caused by an invisible object as it crossed our dimension.

    Comment by Michael — February 12, 2011 #

  23. I really think that is a lame video and proves nothing ,authentic or not… haha geat suspensefull vid though… lol

  24. I am by no means an expert on anything. I have been investigating UFO’s for over 40 yrs. I submit that the historic data (pictures, trace evidence, eyewitness reports etc) going back hundreds of years support the conclusion that ET has been comming here. The tech advances make it difficult in todays enviroment to pin ones belief on such videos. However there are recent cases that support ET is interested in this planet. The incidents will continue and will not go away….kw

    Comment by kw storch — February 12, 2011 #

  25. I submit that there are many examples of cases that provide scientific proof. If radar is to be an instrument that is regognized by acadamia (and it is) as a scientific instrument, then this is just one example of the evidence that is available. The proof is really overwhelming and pictures, videos, and eye witness reports are all supportive data that when combined with imperical evidence show a very compelling case for ET’s appearance….

  26. Greg,

I respect your opinions but when you post a video with the title: “The Best UFO Evidence Ever Captured…” we are expecting THE BEST UFO EVIDENCE EVER CAPTURED!

How about a title that says: “Interesting phenomena over Peru” etc. I see titles where you get your hopes up. Way up. And the footage doesn’t come close.

    Thanks though!

    Comment by Andy — February 12, 2011 #

  27. Sorry Andy but you’ve got me confused with the author and poster of the video. I never said it was “The Best UFO Evidence Ever Captured”. If you read the title of my post you’ll see that. That claim was made by the people who posted it on YouTube not me.

And another thing, I’ve posted numerous times not to get excited about a UFO story. So with all due respect don’t box me in with that assumption.

  28. It took a couple of times watching this video in full screen and full 1080p, but I have to be honest with every one here. I believe something has been captured on this tape. It could be a balloon of some sort, but I know for sure it is not an opening in the clouds.
First and foremost, clouds like this do not, and have not, drifted over the Nazca Planes for thousands of years. this in itself is an anomaly worth investigating. Secondly, I can clearly see cloud movement around a solid circular object with distinct geometrical features, much more precise than the lines on the ground below. I vote that this is truly a real sighting, and a damn good one at that.

    Comment by DannyBrown — February 12, 2011 #

  29. Good point there about the cloud formation Danny. That in itself is pretty unusual and I’d bet a check with the Peruvian weather service to see if indeed there was a cloud formation that day would help this story. Since clouds and rain are rare there then the storm alone should have made headlines of some sort.

We still have to wait for scientific analysis though to see if this video and it’s claims hold up.

    Comment by Greg Boone — February 12, 2011 #

  30. I didn’t even take time to read all the comments and theories, but I flight many times a month and this is just a break in the clouds, the dark spot was just an opening in clouds further back and as the plane flew through the clouds closest obscured the way… I don’t think this is a ufo at all.

    Comment by Tim — February 13, 2011 #

  31. do u want me to edit it and show a “UFO” clearly?

    Comment by Ali — February 13, 2011 #

  32. cant we just make a ship out of nylon and forget metals………….

    Comment by JAMES — February 13, 2011 #

  33. One has to wonder… You wlll notice in the beginning of the video there was some fade out editing, so obviously yer editing the video to some degree.

Ok that said… why would you even video record d thick cloud cover? It would just make for additional video to edit! Makes no sense at all.

That being said I find it funny how many different (appearing amateur) and abundant videos of the World Trade center there were when they collapsed.

Here’s some critical thinking that I virtually never hear anyone but myself consider…

You plan a visit to NYC, perhaps with friends with your video camera. You discuss what you’d like to do. Ok… You may want to see say the Statue of Liberty, the UN, Greenwich Village or museum, Empire State Bldg, or goto a restaurant or Broadway show right?

But no… You either opt to stand by yourself or convince your friends think it sounds like cool fun to just stand around on your vacation and video record the world trade center. Oh yeah let’s hangout and videotape the World Trade Center. Definitely it’s a go… Wouldn’t miss that. Better than Super Bowl Oooh Aaahh gagga! Also… So many ppl with the same idea on their vacation to provide so much amateur video footage? Kinda weird don’t ya think?

Though I’ve been to NYC many times, (and call me weird er somthin’) but the absolute last thing I would consider for entertainment would be standing around in busy NYC video recording a building. Musta been some aboriginal natives that have never see a skyscraper before eh? Duh!

  34. Oh an btw Chuck Aliff the camera was handheld. If it were attached to the plane, you would not see the end of the wing that appears at the top of the video periodically.

A fixed camera would essentially become an extension of the planes fuselage and framework and would move relative to it’s movement. Like a car head light beam.

  35. Hi!

I’ve been flying in Northwest Alaska for 25 years in every kind of weather you can think of. That is not a UFO. Nice try though. I am heading to Peru on Feb. 24th and it’s nice to get an advanced view of my trip to see the lines.

    Comment by Brett — February 13, 2011 #

  36. look more carefully of what the plane has past on the ground for that will give a better conclusional meaning of why the UFO showed up in the first place ( ? :
